Intel will Launch 10 Watt and 13 Watt Ivy Bridge

A few days ago, we had informed that Intel will release Ivy Bridge processor architecture that has the power under 17 watts. Apparently, Ivy Bridge processors that have 17 watts of power under the given name of the Intel Mobile Processor-Y. Thermal Design Power (TDP), which is owned by the Intel Mobile-Y ranged between 10 watts and 13 watts.

The processor has a TDP of 10 watts is the Intel Pentium 2129Y. While that has a TDP of 13 watts is the Core i3-3229Y, 3339Y-Core i5, Core i5-3439Y, and Core i7-3689Y. Pentium 2129Y using integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics, while others use integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 Series. For the class of Core-i processors, all of them will use hyperthreading on two cores are attached.

The plan, Mobile-Y processor will be launched in the first quarter of 2013. Of course, the TDP as it is, a tablet with Windows 8 operating system will run more smoothly and certainly has the battery life is longer. However, when installed on an Ultrabook, of course, its performance will be lower than the existing Ultrabook. Even so, it could be later able to make a more affordable price Ultrabook again.
